In short: your startup ideas never leave your computer. We only collect your email address (when you pay or contact support) and, sometimes, your billing address for the invoice.

1. Who we are

hackathon.fund is provided by ABISHEK MUTHIAN ("we", "us", "our"). This policy covers the hackathon.fund app and this website.

2. The app

The app has no account, no sign-in, no analytics and no tracking. Your startup ideas, saved hackathons and settings are stored only on your computer, and the AI that reads your ideas runs on your computer too. We never receive any of it.

3. When the app goes online

The app connects to the internet only to:

  • download hackathon listings from public hackathon websites;
  • download its AI models from Hugging Face;
  • download daily currency exchange rates from the European Central Bank;
  • check our download server for app updates.

These requests carry only what any internet connection carries, such as your IP address and the app's version. They never include your ideas. Each of these services may keep standard access logs under its own privacy policy.

4. This website

This website has no analytics, no tracking and no advertising, and we do not set cookies. It is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes your IP address to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks.

5. When you buy

When you pay, we collect your email address to send your receipt and purchase details. Your billing address may also be collected to create your invoice.

Payments are handled by our payment gateway. Details stored by the payment gateway, including your card or bank details, are handled under the payment gateway's own privacy policy.

6. When you contact support

When you contact us for support, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to send us. We use it only to help you.

7. How we use your information

We use your email address and billing address only to send receipts and invoices, process refunds, answer support requests, and meet our legal and tax obligations. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it except with our payment gateway or where the law requires it.

8. How long we keep it

We keep purchase and invoice records for as long as tax and accounting laws require. We keep support messages for as long as they are needed to help you.

9. Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you. Some purchase records may need to be kept to meet legal requirements.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this website with a new "Last updated" date.
